Big Storm Today

We have been experiencing some very wet days lately and today we just had another huge storm which dumped 2 inches of rain in about half an hour. The rain has been hard and fast and we will be stuck at home until it dries out a bit, no point trying to drive out as we will get bogged. Here are some pictures.

Run off from our road coming down the gully behind our shed

More run off

The run offs merging on its way to our dam

Merging at the junction on its way to our dam
Our poor driveway

It looks like we could white river raft LOL

The Dam

Our dam wall couldn't cope with the deluge, we have lost 1/3 of the dam wall

Bathurst

Sorry I havent posted for a while but have been busy.. which also included two interstate trips in as many months LOL. I recently visited Bathurst and have some pics to share. Bathurst is the home of the greatest car race in Australia held end September every year. The race goes round and up over Mt Panorama, over and over for approx 7 hours. There is also a memorial for the late great driver Peter Brock. Apart from the famous car race, Bathurst also has a fantastic fossil and mineral museum which I visited. I hope you like my pics.

Visiting Goanna

Yesterday I had a medium sized goanna walking around the property and after watching it for a while I grabbed the camera and it didnt care that I was flashing away at it LOL. I threw out some scrap meat I had and he scoffed it up real quick then gave me a good pose by standing up on his rear hind legs. Isnt it gorgeous..... I hope you enjoy the photos.

Peacocks growing

I have been away for 2 weeks down at Bathurst in NSW and when I came home I noticed the baby peacocks have really grown, here are a couple photos, compared to their mother.
